What’s new this week? On Tuesday, I asked my pastor for a guide for reading more of the Bible. He recommended this 90 day plan. At 3 chapters a day, you finish the entire New Testament in just 3 months. While I would like to keep this blog secular and objective in nature, when you cut out TV, porn, masturbation, and home internet…you end up in a culture-vaccuum. For the sake of the internet, when I quote scripture, it will be open source. Stuff that anyone on the internet would enjoy and benefit from.
Today was Matthew chapters 7, 8, and 9. I thought you ladies and gentlemen would enjoy the encouragement of Matthew 7:7-12.
7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
9 “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! 12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
If you’re knocking on the door to a porn-free life, keep knocking. It will be opened for you.
If you’re asking for freedom from internet addiction, keep asking. If you’re asking for it to be replaced with a full family life, with a sense of community and peace, keep asking. It will be given to you.
I’m gonna leave you guys with a quote from the one and only Ben Frank.
“Energy and persistence conquer all things. ” -Benjamin Franklin
Have fun out there in Brick&Mortar Land,
